This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Express Mobile Detailing collects through expressmobiledetailing.ca, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website. It does not cover other companies’ websites we link to.

The short version

  • We collect what you type into our booking and contact forms — your name, contact details, service address, vehicle details and the appointment you want.
  • We use it to quote, schedule and carry out the detailing work you asked for, and to reply to you.
  • We do not run analytics or advertising tracking on this site, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

What we collect, and when

When you book or request a quote

Our booking form asks for the information we need to price the job and turn up at the right place with the right equipment:

  • About you: first and last name, email address, phone number.
  • Where the work happens: service address, city and province. Because we come to you, this is usually your home or workplace.
  • About the vehicle: make, model, body type, size, and its current condition.
  • The appointment: the package and any add-ons you selected, plus your preferred date and time.
  • The quote: the package price, add-on prices, any size or condition surcharge, travel fee, tax and total calculated for you.
  • Anything else you tell us: the notes field is free text, so it contains whatever you choose to write there.

Recorded automatically with each submission

When a form is submitted, our website also records the IP address and browser user-agent string of the device that sent it, the page it was sent from, and the date and time. This is standard for form software and helps us detect spam and abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Your address as you type it

The service-address field suggests addresses as you type. Those suggestions come from Google Maps Platform, which means the characters you enter in that field are sent to Google in order to return matching addresses — before you submit the form. If you would rather not use it, type the address without accepting a suggestion, or give it to us by phone or email instead.

Cookies

The only thing we store on your device by default is the record of your cookie choice. There is no analytics or advertising cookie on this site. Our Cookie Policy sets out the detail, including how to change your choice at any time.

Blog comments

If you leave a comment on a blog post, WordPress stores the comment, the name and email address you supply, your IP address and your browser user-agent string, and your comment is shown publicly once approved.

Why we use it

  • To prepare your quote and confirm, schedule and carry out the service you booked.
  • To contact you about your booking — confirmation, arrival time, access to the vehicle, or a change of plan.
  • To answer questions you send us.
  • To keep ordinary business records of work performed and payments due.
  • To keep the website secure and to deal with spam and abuse.

We rely on your consent, given when you submit a form, and on the need to take steps at your request before and during the service you asked us to perform. We will not use your information for a new and unrelated purpose without telling you first.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
  • We do not run Google Analytics, Google Ads or remarketing tags, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, or any session-recording or heatmap tool on this site.
  • We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.
  • We do not ask for payment card details through this website.

If that ever changes, we will update this page before the change takes effect, and any tracking tool would load only after you consented to its category.

Who else can see it

We share personal information only with the service providers that make this website and our bookings work, and only as far as each needs:

  • Hostinger — hosts this website and its database, and delivers the email our booking notifications are sent through.
  • Google Maps Platform — powers the address suggestions and any map shown on the site.
  • Trustindex — displays our Google reviews.
  • Google Fonts and Instagram — serve typefaces and social content embedded in our pages. When that content loads, those companies receive your IP address under their own privacy policies.

These providers operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed outside your province or outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Booking and enquiry submissions are stored in this website’s database and in our email, and we keep them for as long as we need them to provide the service, to answer follow-up questions, and to keep normal business and tax records. We do not delete them on a fixed schedule. If you want your information removed sooner, ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Your cookie choice is kept for 180 days, or until you change it or clear your browser data.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and booking notifications are sent over an encrypted mail connection. Access to the website’s administration area is limited to people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and how we have used it;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it;
  • stop contacting you, or withdraw a consent you previously gave.

Email us at info@expressmobiledetailing.ca and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging vehicle detailing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever what we collect, or who we share it with, changes. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
