What this place does to a vehicle, and what that changes about the work.
Stored more than it is driven.
An RV in Halton Region typically works for a few months and sits for the rest, and almost all of the damage happens while it is sitting. What goes under the cover in October is what comes out in May, which is why the appointment before storage matters far more here than the one after it.

A full Ontario winter under a cover.
Freeze-thaw is harder on sealant and trim than steady cold, and Ontario delivers it repeatedly. Roof sealant that was marginal in autumn is often the source of black streaking down the sidewalls by spring, and damp trapped under a cover through that cycle is what makes an interior smell before it is ever used.

Where it is parked decides the job.
Properties here rarely have room for a motorhome on the drive, so most are in a storage yard or on a seasonal site. That decides access, height clearance and how long the vehicle can be worked on, which is why an RV appointment is planned rather than slotted in.

Three hours at the kerb, and north of Dundas no night at all.
The on-street maximum here is three hours unless a street is signed otherwise or a permit is held, and the two-to-six overnight restriction applies seasonally south of Dundas and at any time of year north of it. For a motorhome or a large trailer that combination rules the street out as a working position entirely, and north of Dundas it rules it out as a standing position in every month. So RV work happens where the unit is stored.

If it winters in the harbour yard, the decision comes before the launch.
The Harbours By-law is specific about this and it catches people out. Cradles, boat jacks and trailers used for winter storage will be stored for the summer by the Department unless otherwise specified — and a boater who does not want summer storage must advise the Department before launching the vessel, then remove the cradle or trailer from the yard within two days of the launch being completed. Two days, and the decision made in advance of the launch rather than after it.

The windrow remainder is what you manoeuvre a long unit over.
Approximately eighty per cent of the windrow is cleared, explicitly not to bare pavement, and only after every road is done — up to thirty-six hours after the snowfall ends. For a car that remainder is a bump. For a long unit that has to be positioned precisely to give access down both flanks, a compacted ridge across the entrance is the difference between an appointment happening and being moved.

So the planning question is clear ground, arranged early.
Seals, roof edges, awning rails and lower skirts all need reachable standoff on both sides. The useful question is how much genuinely clear ground surrounds the unit where it already stands, once the winter's snow has gone somewhere. In a town where the windrow programme closed its registration in the autumn and the harbour wants storage decisions before the launch, arranging the space early is simply how things work here.

Four moments worth booking for.
The work is the same either way — these are the times it makes the most difference in Oakville.

It is going away for the winter
Whatever is on the roof and sidewalls when the cover goes on in Halton Region has the whole winter to work on it. Streaking that would have wiped off in October is a stain by May.
Book before storage →
It lives in a storage yard
Few properties in Oakville have room for one on the drive, so most live in a storage yard. We work where it is parked — confirm yard access when you book.
Book at the yard →
It is outside twelve months a year
Housing in Oakville usually means a driveway rather than a garage, so paint takes UV all summer and freeze-thaw all winter. That is what flattens a clear coat in a few years. Protection applied here therefore earns its keep faster than it would on a garaged car.
Book protection →
The first trip of the season is booked
The living space is what decides whether a trip is pleasant, and it is the part that has been closed up since autumn. Extraction through the upholstery and mattresses, the galley and the washroom, plus the exterior it is going to be photographed against — done at the yard near Oakville, before it is loaded.

What Mobile RV Detailing in Oakville looks like up close
Detached and semi-detached housing with a driveway is the norm here, which is the easiest case — the technician works around the vehicle where it already sits. The exceptions worth flagging are the newer condo and townhouse developments, where parking is assigned or visitor-only. RV work here happens where the unit is stored, and if a trailer winters in the harbour yard the summer-storage decision must be made before the launch.

Check the roof each season
Almost every sidewall problem starts up there. A look at the roof twice a year catches sealant that is starting to go before it becomes streaking, and long before it becomes water ingress.

Storage is where the damage happens.
The work itself is not the argument here — the timing is. An Oakville-area motorhome runs for a few months and sits for the rest, and a full Halton Region winter of freeze-thaw does more to sealant, trim and sidewalls than the driving ever did. Booking before it goes away protects the vehicle. Booking after is presentation. Both are worth having; only one of them changes what you are left with.

The vehicle never leaves your driveway
No drop-off, no waiting room, no arranging a lift home and back. The technician works around the vehicle exactly where it already sits, and walks the finished result with you before leaving — so anything missed is put right on the spot rather than on a second visit.
Booking in Oakville.
Should I book before or after storage?
Before. Whatever is on the roof and sidewalls when the cover goes on has the whole Ontario winter to work on the surface, and black streaking that would have wiped off in October can be a stain by May. A pre-storage clean protects the vehicle; a spring clean is mostly presentation.
Can you work at a storage yard near Oakville?
Usually yes, provided the yard allows contractors on site and we can access the whole vehicle. Both are worth confirming when you book rather than on the day, because a yard that turns us away is a wasted appointment for everyone.
Can the motorhome be worked on at the kerb?
No. Oakville's on-street maximum is three hours unless signed otherwise or permitted, which does not accommodate a large unit, and the two-to-six overnight restriction applies at any time of year north of Dundas Street and from November 15 to April 15 south of it. We come to wherever the unit is stored, which gives the access and time the work actually needs.
Our trailer winters in the harbour yard — does that affect anything?
It affects the timing and it has to be decided in advance. The Harbours By-law states that cradles, boat jacks and trailers used for winter storage will be stored for the summer by the Department unless otherwise specified, that a boater who does not want summer storage must advise the Department before launching, and that the cradle or trailer must then be removed within two days of the launch. That two-day window is worth planning around.
When is the best time to book — spring or autumn?
Both, for different reasons. Autumn matters more: whatever is left on the roof and sidewalls when the cover goes on has all winter to work on the surface. Spring is about getting it presentable and checking what the winter did. If you only do one, do the one before storage.
Do you clean awnings and slide-outs?
Awning surfaces are cleaned as part of the exterior. Slide-out roofs and seals collect debris and are worth attention, though anything that looks like failing sealant is flagged to you rather than worked around — that is a repair, not a clean.
How an Oakville appointment actually works.
The practical detail — how far we travel, what the day needs from you, and when in the year it is worth booking in Halton Region.

Where we travel from, and to
Oakville is inside the regular Halton Region round rather than a special journey, and Burlington and Milton are covered on the same runs. That mix of detached housing and short distances is why Oakville appointments tend to run to time — there is rarely a long leg between one address and the next.

What the motorhome needs on the day
Height clearance, room to get right around the body, and permission for a contractor on site if it lives in a storage yard. Those three settle an RV appointment; nothing else usually matters.

When it is worth booking here
The season in Halton Region is short and the storage months are long, and almost all the damage happens while it is put away. Before the cover goes on is the appointment that changes what you get back in spring; the spring one is presentation.
What decides the price in Oakville
There is no price on this page, and that is deliberate — the booking system quotes the exact total for your motorhome or trailer before anything is confirmed, and a number printed here would be out of date the week it changed. What is worth knowing is what moves it, because three of the four are things you already know the answer to.
See your exact price- The motorhome or trailer itselfLength is the main driver — a twenty-foot trailer and a forty-foot motorhome are not the same afternoon, and roof access changes with height.
- The condition it is inHow much is actually there. A vehicle kept on top of and one that has been left three years are the same service and not the same appointment.
- Which service you bookExterior only, interior only, or both. Roof work is quoted separately because it depends on safe access rather than on square footage.
- Where you areOakville is inside our regular service area in Halton Region, so this is a standard appointment rather than a special journey. Access is usually straightforward here, which keeps the appointment window predictable.
